On May 1st 2008 Schonenburg Estate became the latest addition to Soverby. For that long stay during the South Africa summers, or just a break away for the week-end out of the city, we have just added 3 new fully furnished, self-catering houses to our establishment. It is located 10km away from Soverby Guesthouse, between Somerset West and Strand, off the R44, across from the Lord Charles Hotel next to the Waterstone Village (restaurants & shops) and across from the Somerset Mall (restaurants & shopping).

In the early mornings or the late afternoon, take a brisk walk or relaxing stroll on the different pathways in the complex, with water features and lovely views of the ocean and mountains. Or walk to the nearby shopping centre to do your shopping, like it was done in the old days.

Schonenberg is located in a security complex and is less than 6km drive away from Strand Beach as well as a variety of golf courses (4 within 15km) and Wine farms.
